Dengue Vaccine

Vaccination against dengue is recommended for people who have had, or might have had, dengue in the past and are travelling to a part of the world where dengue is common.

Dengue is often found in tropical areas including:

– Parts of Africa and Asia
– Central and South America
– The Caribbean
– The Pacific islands

The vaccine is available privately.

The dengue vaccine is usually given as an injection. You usually have 2 doses given 3 months apart.
